The 190-bed specialist hospital houses more than 48 resident doctors, 13 sessional and 2 visiting specialist doctors. Pan Wen Lek is Chief Executive Officer of Pantai Hospital Penang. Under Pan’s leadership, Pantai Hospital Penang is expanding its facilities with a new medical block, to be completed by end 2025. The new block will enhance the hospital’s range of medical specialties and healthcare services.

Pan was also the functional Director for Cerebral Plus (Project 1) for IHH Healthcare Malaysia, an initiative driving the upgrade of the entire hospital information system. He served as Chairman for the IHH Quality Summit 2019 in Malaysia, promoting clinical, operation and service excellence across IHH Healthcare hospitals.

Pan has over 27 years of experience in healthcare finance and operations. He first joined IHH Healthcare Malaysia on 1 October 2001 as Finance Executive, and his career progressed steadily in both Pantai Hospital Penang and Pantai Hospital Sungai Petani, until his appointment as Chief Executive Officer of Pantai Hospital Penang in 2017.
